IEI’s customer feedback process has now gone online. A web-based survey form is now available to all customers who have purchased or installed an IEI security management or access control system or device. Customers can rate the quality of the IEI product or service they received in a number of categories. Bill Gilman has been hired by IEI as a technical support representative. He has 15 years experience in product and customer technical support management at a variety of industrial and technology manufacturers. Throughout his career he has been consistently recognized for his ability to deliver outstanding service and solutions to the customer. IEI has brought on two additional Manufacturers' Representatives to support the company in growing regions. These companies will maintain relationships with IEI distributors and support security dealers. The two companies are: IEI Sales Binders IEI sales binders are distributed regularly to dealers and distributors so that they have the latest information about IEI products and services in one convenient location. If you have a binder, be sure that you have mailed in your registration card so that we can send you regular updates. IEI's eM Style keypads have successfully completed the testing process from Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. for UL listing. The UL Listing on a product means that it has been thoroughly testing by UL to nationally recognized safety standards and found to be free from reasonably foreseeable risk of fire, electric shock and related hazards.The eM Style flush-mount durable metal keypad is designed for basic access control. These keypads are the perfect choice for controlling electric locks, magnetic locks, security systems, or gate control. They are weather resistant for indoor or outdoor use and have metal trim and Braille keys. For more information on the eM Style Flush-Mount Durable Metal Keypad, click here. The LR-911 is an AWID-compatible reader with a read range of 9 to 11 feet, which makes it great solution for installations where it is inconvenient to present a credential close to the reader. Used in conjunction with a windshield tag or surface mounted tag, the LR-911 is perfect for outdoor applications such as automated vehicle identification, parking entry and gate controls. It can also used for indoor applications such as asset monitoring and tracking. The LR-911 operates in the license-free 900 MHz band. It has a programmable repetition rate and Wiegand output. The LR-911 is one of several new AWID-compatible readers that have been recently added to the IEI product line. Other AWID compatible readers include the SR-2400, which can be mounted on a door mullion and has a read range of 4 to 5.5 inches, the SP-6820, with a read range of 6 to 8 inches, the MR-1824 with a read range of 18 to 24 inches. IEI has also enhanced its HID-compatible readers with the addition of LED and sounder control when used with an IEI access control system. Now when a valid access has been granted, the LED on the reader will flash and a beep will sound, confirming the valid access.
