IEI's eM Style keypads have successfully completed the testing process from Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. for UL listing. The UL Listing on a product means that it has been thoroughly testing by UL to nationally recognized safety standards and found to be free from reasonably foreseeable risk of fire, electric shock and related hazards.

The eM Style flush-mount durable metal keypad is designed for basic access control. These keypads are the perfect choice for controlling electric locks, magnetic locks, security systems, or gate control. They are weather resistant for indoor or outdoor use and have metal trim and Braille keys.

The LR-911 is an AWID-compatible reader with a read range of 9 to 11 feet, which makes it great solution for installations where it is inconvenient to present a credential close to the reader.

Used in conjunction with a windshield tag or surface mounted tag, the LR-911 is perfect for outdoor applications such as automated vehicle identification, parking entry and gate controls. It can also used for indoor applications such as asset monitoring and tracking.

The LR-911 operates in the license-free 900 MHz band. It has a programmable repetition rate and Wiegand output.

The LR-911 is one of several new AWID-compatible readers that have been recently added to the IEI product line. Other AWID compatible readers include the SR-2400, which can be mounted on a door mullion and has a read range of 4 to 5.5 inches, the SP-6820, with a read range of 6 to 8 inches, the MR-1824 with a read range of 18 to 24 inches.

IEI has also enhanced its HID-compatible readers with the addition of LED and sounder control when used with an IEI access control system. Now when a valid access has been granted, the LED on the reader will flash and a beep will sound, confirming the valid access.

eMerge Certified Dealer Program Announced.

IEI has announced a new partner program to support its growing contingent of qualified dealers who are selling the eMerge Browser Managed Security Platform. Only a limited number of certified dealers will be selling this integrated security management system, ensuring that both IEI and its dealers are able to provide the highest levels of quality and support.

The certification process consists of a training program offered by IEI instructors, both at field locations and at IEI headquarters. Headquarters training dates currently scheduled in Canton, Massachusetts are: November 14 and December 12. Click here for more information.

Field training for qualified eMerge dealers currently scheduled include the weeks of:

November 7 – November 11, Florida
November 14 – November 18, Washington, DC
November 28 – December 2, Chicago, IL
December 12 – December 16, South Florida

Certification training classes, both field and headquarters, are for those dealers who have applied for entry into the certification program and been approved by IEI.

Installation firms interested in becoming an eMerge Certified Dealer can apply for certification on our partner site here to register and then complete a certification application. Once the application is accepted, both online and field training programs are available to the dealer. Once trained, each dealer is required to take a series of certification exams to demonstrate their proficiency on the product. These exams are also available on our eMerge partner site.

New eMerge Advertisements Launched in November.

IEI has launched a new advertising program in trade magazines to support its eMerge Browser Managed Security Platform. The advertising is intended to raise awareness of the product and to encourage new dealers to become an eMerge Certified Dealer.

The advertisements also encourage dealers to “Try eMerge” by logging into an actual system to demo the product. Dealers can log onto the try eMerge system by clicking here.

The new eMerge advertising will break in November in security dealer publications. Look for the ads in Security Systems News, SDM, Security Dealer, and Security Sales & Integration.
