Video Management, Photo-ID and Live Monitoring Added to eMerge

Over the past six months a number of new capabilities have been added to the eMerge Browser Managed Security Platform. The new features are designed to add ease-of-use and increased functionality to the system. Some of the new features include the following:

Video Management System – Available in eMerge's Integrated Security Platform, the Video Management System offers high-end video handling capabilities. With this capability, users have a single interface for IP and analog cameras and DVR. Video displays such as single camera, picture-in-picture, or quad can be easily built. Analog and IP cameras can be mixed on the same display. A video thumbnail can be placed anywhere on your desktop to show live, real time video for any camera. For more information on the Video Management System, click here.

Photo-ID – This option enables users to easily capture images and add text to personalize custom badge templates to meet the needs of the organization. The flexibility of IEI’s Photo-ID makes it easy for images to be remotely captured with a hand held digital camera or digital image file and imported into a PC. Since Photo-ID is integrated with eMerge, a single database exists that captures all information form the access system, including access definitions and photos. More information on Photo-ID can be seen by clicking here.

Live Monitoring Bundle – This feature integrates a variety of physical and virtual system-detected inputs to generate events that result in user-programmed actions. Users can program events to trigger one or more actions, which are commands to the system to affect the results desired when an event occurs. Active events appear graphically on eMerge’s floor plans and monitoring displays. Click here for more information on the eMerge Live Monitoring Bundle

SEG-M Secure Ethernet Gateway Module

The SEG-M, introduced this month, is a LAN/WAN interface device that enables users of IEI's Hub Max II and Hub MiniMaxII the ability to communicate using the existing network infrastructure. The SEG-M plugs directly into the Max backplane, providing a secure method of sending and receiving data.

Setup is faster and easier than ever with the SEG-M combined with Hub Manager Professional software. Once the network connection has been made, Hub Manager Professional performs an "Auto Detection" search of the network for any IEI SEG-M network adapters.

The SEG-M accepts dynamic IP addressing and uses 128 bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).

Access Solutions Application Notes Now Available

IEI has recently begun the development of Applications Notes, which have been created to convey information on the various IEI solutions and how we solve specific problems. The new Application Notes describe an environment and how we apply our products to create a positive solution.

You can find the first two Applications Notes —  one on Stairwell Access and the other Patient Wandering Prevention —  on our website on our new Applications page.

We will develop more notes in the future for posting on the IEI web page. Check back often as the library of Applications grows.
